PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project is located adjacent to the existing Rothes Wind Farm, 20km south west of Elgin. The project consists of 18 turbines (see site map below). In addition to the wind turbines the site will have a control building, underground cables, temporary construction compound, access and associated infrastructure. The wind farm will be metered at site and exported through the existing cables used for Rothes I.
Access is via the existing route.
PLANNING CONSENT
Rothes II received consent for 18 turbines and 45 MW in January 2010.
